US iPad demands delay iPad International Release

Apple iPad WiFi which was launched in US earlier this month has sold about 500000 units just in its very first week. While iPad sales must have pleased Steve Jobs, it has brought dismay to the hearts of international iPad seekers.

Apple claims the huge demand of the iPad has forced them to slightly delay the iPad international launch date by a few weeks. The iPad was expected to go on sale internationally by the end of this month but the new schedule finds a date in May.

The Cuperinto giant’s touch screen tablet has taken over the US markets by a storm and every day, more and more people are getting inclined to buy an iPad. While those living in the US have already begun their celebrations with the iPad, the rest of the world awaits in hope and patience.

The new date to preorder your iPad online is reportedly 10th of May which is when the details on international pricing and availability will be also be disclosed and perhaps for the the iPad 3G release as well, at least for Canadian customers by the end of May.

"Faced with this surprisingly strong US demand, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the international launch of iPad by one month, until the end of May. We will announce international pricing and begin taking online pre-orders on Monday, May 10.

We know that many international customers waiting to buy an iPad will be disappointed by this news, but we hope they will be pleased to learn the reason—the iPad is a runaway success in the US thus far.”, reported Apple.
