Best Buy Offering iPhone 3GS For Free on December 10

At Best Buy, the Apple iPhone 3GS will be available for free to customers looking for new lines, additional lines or for eligible upgrades.
The iPhone 3GS will be available for free (only on the 10th of December, 2010) but not the contract that comes with it. Apparently, these devices are bounded to ATT, which is the exclusive carrier providing Apple iPhone for now.
Although another major US carrier, Verizon Wireless is expected to debut the iPhone 4 on their carriers sometime in the first half of 2011, a free iPhone 3GS from ATT isn’t a bad deal at all.
According to the terms of contract, the device limit is restricted to one unit per customer. It is being reported that Best Buy stores have already been prepared to clear the inventory tomorrow, i.e., on Friday and so there shouldn’t be any problem finding one in stock at a Best Buy store near you.
As a refresher, the featured iPhone 3GS specifications enlist a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch support, Apple iOS, 8GB of onboard storage, a 3 megapixel camera, 256MB RAM and a 600MHz processor.
The iPhone 3GS 8GB had been previously available for $99 through Best Buy and Apple Store, on contract with AT&T. However, the $99 price tag just seems right at this moment for the iPhone 4 had already been available in the market for quite a few months and 3GS hardware is apparently aging now.
