IS Drive App : Torrent Downloader For iPhone, iPod Touch And iPad
Apple has swiftly approved the bittorrent for iPhone app that enables you to download torrents on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The approval of a torrent downloader app for iPhone contradicts Apple’s earlier affirmation of disapproving such apps in the name of “infringing third party rights”.
However, now that the app is approved, a lot of users owning the iOS devices can finally use their luxurious data plan to download stuff from their favorite torrent engines. Officially known as IS Drive, the application is actually a download manager for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and was reportedly available for Jailbroken iOS devices under the name Jack Torrents.
The application allows you to download (and upload) torrents, pause and resume your torrent downloads and do even more on the go. It was allegedly labeled as a download manager for iPhone instead of ‘torrent’ manager and which is why (presumably) Apple did not see a reason to disapprove it.According to Apple, “this app allows you to check and manage the downloads in your ImageShack Drive account. For downloaded videos, you can even view thumbnails (if ImageShack is able to provide them)”.
Call it an iPhone bit torrent app or anything you want, but the IS drive app for iOS-based devices is available for download from the Apple App Store against a niggling sum of $4.
