Has Apple Delayed The iPhone 5 Launch To 2012?
The newest Apple product to hit the rumor mill is the much-discussed and as-yet-unannounced iPhone 5. Perhaps, it’s been in the rumor mill for almost half a year now, and yet none could disinter anything concretely official about the iPhone 5.
Rumor has it that the iPhone 5 launch as been delayed. Apple was originally expected to announce the next-generation iPhone aka iPhone 5 alongside the iOS 5 launch. However, that possibility seems to be diminishing at the moment.
Apple had earlier confirmed that the iOS 5 will be announced at the WWDC 2011 event due to held in San Francisco this June. But there is no word on the iPhone.
It’s only recently that Apple unveiled the CDMA cousin of the AT&T iPhone as Verizon iPhone 4.
According to LoopInsight which seemingly broke the news -
“Apple’s apparent focus on software in its WWDC announcement backs up what my own sources are saying about the annual conference. That is, expect a software show in 2011, not a hardware event.”
If Apple were to release a new-generation of iPhone this June, the Verizon customers who were just treated with an iPhone 4 wouldn’t be happy.
