Google is Giving Away 50,000 Chrome OS Notebooks!
Apparently, Google wants you to push in some innovative ideas, significant suggestions or at least your valuable feedback. So, if you are interested in testing Google Chrome notebook, sign up for the Pilot program by 21st of December to get started. However, applicants are required to forward their mailing address to Google on or before Friday, December 10, 2010.
Google explains the Chrome notebooks giveaway by quoting :
We have a limited number of Chrome notebooks to distribute, and we need to ensure that they find good homes. That’s where you come in. Everything is still very much a work in progress, and it’s users, like you, that often give us our best ideas about what feels clunky or what’s missing.
Once you sign up for the Chrome notebook pilot program, Google will shortlist the applicants and will notify you, if you have been selected. As per the regulatory terms of the program, any applicant participating in this program ought to be at least 18 years old, and of course, should be a resident of the United States of America.
Although, a comprehensive list of Chrome notebook specs is officially due, we do know that the Chrome notebook features (Model No: Cr-48) a 12.1 inch display with the an integrated webcam on the face-front top, a full-sized notebook keyboard, an “oversized clickable” touchpad, built-in Wi-Fi and World-Mode 3G modules, about 8+ hours of battery backup or about 8 days of battery standby time on a full battery charge.
