Zakir Naik annouces Rs 1 Crore scholarship for 2011

Zakir Abdul Karim Naik is a public speaker and writer on the subject of Islam and comparative religion. He is the founder and president of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF), a non-profit organization that owns the Peace TV channel based in Mumbai, India. Before becoming a public speaker, he trained as a doctor.

According to recent media reports, the United Islamic Aid IRF Educational Scholarship based on Islamic Knowledge, taqwa and merit is now available for Muslim students pursuing courses in Medicine, Engineering, Education, Management etc. They have allotted Rs.1 crore to be given in scholarships.
 
The scholarship Application Form is available at the Islamic Research Foundation Office or it can be downloaded from www.irf.net

Please note that there is a written Islamic Exam on Sunday, 29th May 2011 in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, Malegaon, Akola, Delhi, Kolkatta, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai for the fair distribution of the amount among the deserving candidates.

The scholarship is sub-divided in two categories, namely:
1. English/Urdu medium students of Maharashtra
2. Only English medium students of rest of India
