Telangana supporter hangs himself near Parliament
A 23-year-old supporter from Telangana, apparently frustrated over the delay in granting separate statehood to the region, was found hanging from a tree near Parliament House inside India Gate Wednesday, police said.
Adi Reddy, who appeared to have committed suicide hailing from Pedda Mangalaram village in Ranga Reddy district of Andhra Pradesh
"We received the call around 7.30 a.m. and took the body to Ram Manohar Lohia hospital where he was declared brought dead. We recovered a 20 page suicide letter written in Telugu from the spot," a police official said.
India Gate is a high security area close to the presidential palace Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House.
