Philippines students invent mobile phones for the blind

Thanks to a new invention by university students in the Philippines, blind people may be able to use mobile phones with much more ease.

Engineering students created a mobile phone for the visually impaired by putting a braille pad on the console to help them read and send text messages.

One of the country's largest mobile phone networks is now looking into developing and distributing the braille units at an affordable price.
